Microfabrication & Regenerative medicine
当該事業の前身である研究拠点形成事業A「バイオ融合マイクロ・ ナノメカトロニクス国際研究拠点」(H24-28)の成果のひとつであるSMMIL-E (スマイリー、Seeding Microsystems in Medicine in Lille-European-Japanese Technologies against Cancer-)の一環として実施している。SMMIL-Eは、東京大学生産技術研究所が従来から実施運営してきた、フランス国立科学研究センター(CNRS)との日仏国際共同運営ラボLIMMSが管轄する国際共同研究プロジェクトである。SMMiL-Eの運営は、東大生産研とCNRS、リール大学、および、オスカーランブレー癌センター病院との間に締結されたバイオエレクトロニクス技術の癌治療研究への応用に関する合意書に基づいてなされている。SMMIL-Eの主な研究活動は、フランス・リール市のオスカーランブレー癌センター病院の敷地内にある癌研究施設IRCL(L’Institut pour la Recherche sur le Cancer de Lille、リール癌研究所)内で行われている。
